There are several instances we need to remove the password from a protected PDF document and save it in the unprotected form. This can be easily done using the default "Save As PDF" Print option provided in Google Chrome web browser.
Steps
- Open Google Chrome web browser.
- Drag and drop the password protected PDF file over chrome or Use Ctrl + O keyboard shortcut to browse and open the desired file.
- It will prompt for the password as shown below. Enter the password and click "SUBMIT".
- Select "Print..." menu option or Press Ctrl + P keyboard shortcut to open the Print screen.
- Print screen will be displayed as shown below. Check if the Destination is "Save as PDF".
- If the destination is not "Save as PDF", click "Change" button and select the destination as "Save as PDF" as shown below.
- Now click "Save" button on print screen, browse to the desired folder and save the PDF.
Thats it!!! Open the PDF and ensure that PDF is password unprotected!
